Freshly Made Sketches Challenge 181

It's been a while since my last post.  I've still been making bits and pieces, I've just not been putting them out on display.  My good camera decided to stop working and I've not been very happy with results from the one on my phone. I now have a new camera so hopefully will get around to posting more often.

Last week I came across the Freshly Made Sketches Blog and thought I would attempt making a card using the latest Sketch 181 as shown below.

I've never worked from a sketch before so thought it best if I kept it simple. I decide to limit the colour palette and just used an embossing folder to add interest to the white card. For the sentiment and embellishment I used Sizzix Framelits with Stamp Sets for the first time. Having a Grand Calibur I usually stick with Spellbinders and the occasional Marianne Dies but these Framelits were a bargain that was too good to miss and experiment with!

I'm very happy with the fresh and clean look of the card so hope you like it too.

  2. I've broken my camera twice in the last four months - it is really discouraging when you are a blogger, isn't it? I love your use of the beautiful embossed background - I love how this sketch allows it to be the focus! Thank you for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.
